Braintan Buckskin Hide Tanning Class

Turn a raw deerskin into beautiful Braintan Buckskin the old way, with good ole' brains and elbow grease. This 3-day class covers the dry-scrape method, wet scrape will be discussed. Deer hides provided, or bring your own. Participants will learn to flesh, de-hair, buck, (soak in brain solution) wring, stretch, and smoke the hides, to end up with a garment-quality Braintan.
